Trent Reznor: A true visionary

Lately i've been traumatized (obsessed) with NIN (Nine Inch Nails), since i saw them live last october i've been listening to their music non-stop... first i was just analizing their music and visual art ... but now i'm just amazed by how Trent Reznor (only constant member of the band) is able to take the music industry to a whole new level by setting new parameters at what is supossed to be done with music ...

Last year he just blew everyones mind with an instrumental cd entitled Ghosts I-IV, a 36 track cd with great visual art created by Rob Sheridan (Trent's right hand and NIN's art director).... a few months later he blew people's minds again with a completely free of charge-all new cd called The Slip , a 10 track cd that led NIN into their world tour named Lights in the sky...

The LITS tour had a mind-fucking light show with interactive screen and all for Echoplex  (track 5 - The Slip) and amazing visuals created by Rob Sheridan (yeah i love his work)... unfortunately due to some song rights held by Reznor's old record label a (legal or commercial) DVD was impossible ... but today a 405 gb video archive was put out to NIN fans to download via torrent so they can put a DVD together with the given material... this material is pre-formated to use with Final Cut Pro (Mac only) and the sound is totally mixed from the soundboard oh and the video is in HD quality!!! .... with this new way of doing things i bet some musicians will follow Trent's footsteps on their live dvd creation and cd commercialization ...
